With Domino 6.5.1, Lotus have integrated even more functionality Domino, presenting users with a Lotus Workplace like experience by integrating all core messaging and collaborative applications into a portal user interface (UI).  In this presentation, Keiran O’Byrne (Team Leader, Lotus Software Innovation Team)  will explore the new and enhanced features of 6.5.1, including Spam control, messaging integration and portlet functionality – and look at the differences between Domino and Workplace.

Domino 6.5.1 includes a new set of deployment tools – Notes Smart Upgrade and Domino Policy Based Administration. Jon, a Lotus IT specialist, will look at the benefits available from Domino Client and Server deployment using these new tools.

LDAP directories provide phone and email addresses and help to manage server access, authorise B2B users and find experts via Knowledge Management. They are the basis for single signon via Enterprise Identity Mapping. This Redbook presentation introduces directory concepts and shows how to integrate and manage OS/400 with WebSphere, Domino, Novell and MS Active Directory using IBM’s Directory Server and BlueNotes Directory products.

Johnson Matthey uses Lotus Teamplace (Quickplace) to deliver ‘out of the box’ customer extranets, combining transactional data from the iSeries, shared documents and user awareness to all ‘chat’ sessions and meetings. In this session, Stephen will demonstrate how these tools have been implemented, and customised, to allow this to work.
