See how RPG IV and ILE are an effective “next step” on your route to the Web, and how RPG IV can act as an effective business logic language for Web applications. The logical steps moving from existing RPG applications to a browser based application will be reviewed.

Linda Cole is a Certified Consulting iSeries Specialist. Her current assignment is with the IBM Toronto Lab as the iSeries WebSphere Initiatives Manager. Linda is involved with technical requirements, packaging  and marketing  for the family of WebSphere products available on the iSeries. Prior to that she spent 3 years as technical advocate for the  WebSphere Development Studio for iSeries team. Linda  has  worked with IBM in the midrange marketplace since 1979, in technical support, implementation, education, consulting and sales roles. She is a frequent speaker at COMMON, Users Groups and Technical Conferences

If you have never seen Webfacing, and how it can easily turn a green screen application into a Web application that is easily customised with industry standard tooling, then come and be amazed! Webfacing is not a screen scraper, but a development tool that creates real Java objects that can be further enhanced and extended. In the latest release, there have been significant improvements to the Webfacing tool, based on the benefits of the Eclipse technology. Come and hear about how to put Webfacing to work for you.

Greg  Hintermeister has extensive experience designing user interfaces for iSeries Navigator, the IBM Virtualization Engine, wireless applications, and numerous Web applications. Greg is a regular speaker at user groups and technical conferences
