IBM's
Strategy for collaboration in the future using Workplace
Martin Smith, IBM
Martin Smith joined IBM’s Lotus
services division in 1993. Prior to this, he had gained over 10
years experience working in IT, related to the UK financial
services sector. His first role in Lotus was to manage the
design and deployment of large Lotus Notes infrastructures.
Following this, he moved into a commercial role and relocated to
South Africa, where he established Lotus’ services operation in
South Africa and the Middle East. On his return to Europe Martin
spent a year working in the Netherlands, where he took
responsibility for one of Lotus’ largest accounts. In 2000
Martin relocated to the USA and took a role working in the Lotus
WW Sales Team. His responsibilities included sales strategy,
operations and enablement. In 2002 he returned to the UK and has
subsequently focused on sales leadership for the IBM’s Portal
and Workplace offerings. |

Why IBM Workplace.
Why 'i'
John Taylor, Typex Group
How do you collaborate and
integrate with your business applications? If email and MS
Office are enough then read no further. If not, then take a look
at IBM Workplace. Your users can work smarter. Your Workplace
application templates can give managers control of their
processes. You can save money on desktop software management -
including a Linux client option. Also learn about the future of
Domino and find out why the iSeries is the only server platform
that makes sense.
John Taylor is Technical Director
of the Typex Group plc, a Business Partner of IBM, GXS and
AT&T's Global Network. John is an author of three IBM Redbooks
and of magazine articles on this subject and speaks at customer
conferences worldwide.
He is an IT
Infrastructure Systems Architect certified by The Open Group to
TOGAF 8 standards. He is the architect of IBM's BlueNotes family
of software products which integrate Lotus Notes and Domino with
IBM eServers. |
